From 4 p.m. to sunset, Splash Island Waterpark at Palmetto Islands County Park in Mount Pleasant will host its very first Yappy Hour. Beverages will be available to the owners while the dogs have their own fun splashing around the park. Advance admission is available at CharlestonCountyParks.com for $8; on-site admission, if available, will be $10 per dog.

Dogs must be up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations to enter the event. To maximize canine fun, owners will not be allowed to swim or go more than ankle deep in the water at the event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at park concession stands to help humans cool down. While in the park and for the safety of all guests, owners are encouraged to keep their dogs close at hand and in control at all times.
