Heralded as one of Carlos Saura’s masterpiece, the film “Cría cuervos” (1976), starring Geraldine Chaplin, Ana Torrent, Conchita Pérez, follows the story of an eight-year-old orphan, Ana, and her two sisters, as they are raised by their aunt and a mute and crippled grandmother in Madrid. It is a political statement against the last period of the Franco dictatorship, marked by surrealist scenes and the influence of Luis Buñuel and Ingmar Bergman. In Spanish, with English subtitles.

Considerada una de las obras maestras de Saura, “Cría cuervos” (1976), en la que destacan Geraldine Chaplin, Ana Torrent, Conchita Pérez, describe la experiencia de las huérfanas, Ana y sus dos hermanas, en la ciudad de Madrid, al amparo de su tía y una abuela muda y lisiada. La película es una crítica política a la etapa final del franquismo en España, con tonalidades surrealistas y la influencia de Luis Buñuel e Ingmar Bergman. En español, con subtítulos en inglés.
