The Poet Speaks: An Evening of Masterworks and Poetry

April 6, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm UTC+0

$10 – $15

Pianist, Rick Stanton, and poet, Jan Stanton, team up for a delightful evening of masterworks and original poetry. Works by Bach, Mozart, Liszt, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Schumann will be paired with an original poem that sets the mood for the music to follow. This is third in the series of Candlelight Concerts commemorating the bicentennial of the Unitarian Church in Charleston.

The concert will be followed by a reception and exhibit of photography and drawings by Rick Schmeidt and Katherine Morter.

Admission, taken at the door, is $15 for adults and $10 for students.

Childcare is available. Parking is available behind Gage Hall or in close-by parking garages. The Unitarian Church in Charleston is an accessible facility. Proceeds for this concert go toward funding music education programs in underserved area schools.
