In an effort to provide ongoing recreation and social opportunities for community members with disabilities, the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) invites people with special needs to attend a super hero-themed dance party on May 16. People with special needs and their families and caregivers are invited to attend the event on the evening of Wednesday, May 16 at the Cooper River Room at Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. The fun will take place from 6 – 8 p.m. The spirited dance party will have a superhero theme. Attendees are encouraged to wear a superhero costume or attire if they so choose. Snacks and refreshments will be provided on site, and a DJ and other special guests will be on hand to entertain all. Advance registration is recommended. Tickets are $4 if purchased in advance, or $5 on site. Chaperones and ages three and under are free of charge.
