This annual event serves to highlight prominent, as well as “behind the scenes” movers and shakers of the civil rights movement. While highlighting the struggle and advancement of People of Color; it also serves to facilitate a bridge to promote unity in the city of Charleston across racial, cultural, and economic divides. The theme for this year’s event is: HIDDEN FIGURES: Shadows of the Past.
This event will showcase local entrepreneurs, and various artists from the city of Charleston and surrounding areas, who will be on hand to exhibit their craft.
This year’s event will be held in two parts. A mini-expo will be held in the Christian Leadership Building from 2pm – 5pm. The mini-expo will feature performers, as well as local entrepreneurs. The main event will be held at Lightsey Chapel from 6 – 7:30pm.
