IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE, PLAY ON…
And thou shalt in William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, directed by Allison Brower, featuring familiar Flowertown faces, Dorothy Smith (Helena, Midsummer Night’s Dream), Alan Garner (Bird  Seller, Sweeney Todd), Daniel Rich (Ross, Macbeth), and Charissa Ward (Joanna, Sweeney Todd). As one of Shakespeare’s best comedies, Twelfth Night mixes the Bard’s iconic use of disguises, mistaken identity, and love. Viola and twin brother Sebastian are shipwrecked in the sea town of Illyria. Fearful that her brother has perished Viola disguises herself as a man to enter into the service of Duke Orsino. His love for Countess Olivia is soon discredited as the Countess has set her eyes on Viola. Hilarity ensues as Viola attempts to block the Countess’s advances and get closer to her true love, Duke Orsino.

“Audiences can expect some hilarious characters from some very talented actors…and a bit of swashbuckling!” says Brower whose Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired show is sure to touch lover’s souls and give audiences plenty of sword fighting battles.

The Flowertown Players’ Underground series presents Twelfth Night for 4 performances this July. Don’t miss your chance to see the Bard’s hilarious game of love and mistaken identity. Tickets are on sale now for only $15 at www.flowertownplayers.org, over the phone at 843-875-9251, or in person at our box office.
