Join Stephanie Ondo, local artist and owner of Slo Fiber Studio, for an introduction to creating yarn. This class is for anyone interested in making unique yarn from prepared fibers. Participants will learn the physics of twist, the park and draft technique, and discuss the importance of the fiber’s staple length. Stephanie will offer guidance in spinning yarn using an ancient tool called a drop spindle. Bring any fiber you may already have. The instructor will have a selection of wool and other fibers to choose from. Tools provided.
