Grammy-nominated producer and drummer Quentin E. Baxter will present a three-concert series in the Simons Center Recital Hall on the campus of the College of Charleston. The “Quentin E. Baxter Presents” series is meant to inspire students increase community interest and support of the college’s jazz program.First up is the Randy Napoleon Trio, Sept 18 at 7:30 p.m.  in the Recital Hall, 54 St. Philip St. The trio features Napoleon on guitar, Baxter on drums and Elias Bailey on bass. The Champian Fulton Quartet takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12. The band includes Fulton on paino and singing, with Stephen Fulton on trumpet, Adi Meyerson on bass and Ben Zweig on drums. The final concert in the series features the Quentin Baxter Quintet at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4. Baxter will be joined by Charlton Singleton on trumpet, Mark Sterbank on sax, Gerald Gregory on piano and Kevin Hamilton on bass.
