Charleston Performing Arts Center (C-PAC) presents the World Premier of their newest dance musical, “BANDSTAND – The 1960s”. This production is another original theatrical work created and choreographed by Broadway veteran, Kirk Pfeiffer; book by Scott Pfeiffer.

Celebrate Black History Month with this story of the Civil Rights Movement as told through the lens of American Bandstand’s studio cameras. Let’s go to the hop with Dick Clark and his talented cast of singers and dancers. The cast includes Guest Artists and local singers and dancers, including teens from local high schools.

Production opens February 2 and runs until February 26. Shows are every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at 8:00pm; and Sundays at 4:00pm. Special ‘Sweetheart Show’ on Valentine’s Day Tuesday, February 14 at 8:00pm.

Adult tickets range from $35.00 to $45.00, with reduced prices available for Sunday Twilight performances. Senior, Military, Student, and Youth prices available.

Charleston Performing Arts Center, now in their third season, is located at 873 Folly Road on James Island, just one mile south off the James Island Expressway.
