Calling all Parrot Heads, Parakeets, and sons of sons of Sailors! The Charleston Music Hall is thrilled to present A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett featuring Charleston’s own Folly Pirates Over 40 on Friday, July 27 at 8pm. We will all be “Wasted away again in Margaritaville”, as we listen to two sets of Buffett’s greatest hits played by an Allstar line up of Charleston Musicians. No need to ask “Where’s the Party” on July 27th because it will be at The Charleston Music Hall for A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett. Tickets are on sale now!
Folly Pirates Over 40 is a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band from Folly Beach, SC. Their story is simple. Some well-known Folly friends and musicians came together one afternoon (or was it evening?) after a bottle of rum or seven and decided to play the songs of Jimmy Buffett that they all love.
“Yes, I am a pirate two hundred years too late/The cannons don’t thunder/there’s nothin’ to plunder/I’m an over forty victim of fate/Arriving too late, arriving too late” – Jimmy Buffett “A Pirate Looks at Forty” (1974)
