Award winning theatre teacher and classical trained actor, George Younts will be presenting a one-man adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol for an Twelfth Annual Goodwill Tour around South Carolina during the 2019 Holiday Season.
This family friendly, bare bones production of classic literature aims to bring the wealth of the Arts to all via a professional theatre experience during the Holiday Season regardless of location or economic means. It tours, at little or no cost, to audiences with limited or no access to the arts or where live theatre is not frequently thriving in or easily accessible to. In its past eleven years of touring it has had over a 125 performances and has been seen in over sixty different performances sites with many returning engagements.
The production presents the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his nocturnal journey into the true spirit of Christmas in one hour. It has been performed in schools, retirement communities, churches, hospitals, centers for the elderly, classrooms, low income housing residences, cafeterias, prisons, shelters, civic halls, gymnasiums, theatres and in a Theatre for the Deaf version along with its yearly proceeds going to charity.
Only 3 public performances of the one man version of A Christmas Carol now in its 12th Touring Year. The rest are in Prisons and Schools.
All performances are Free Admission or Food Donation.
