While in Charleston, Roberto Diago will create a brand new installation for his exhibition entitled The Initials of the Earth. This installation will be composed of raw, found materials, including cardboard, dirt, and wood, like many of the artist’s works on view in La historia recordada. Diago will be visiting from his native Havana, Cuba, where he often works with members of the community on collaborative works of art and installations.
Join the Halsey Institute staff and fellow gallery visitors to observe Roberto Diago as he creates a new artwork for the exhibition. The galleries are open from 11:00AM to 4:00PM and admission is always free.
