Splash Island Waterpark will reopen again to allow dogs to take a dip in the water for Dog Day Afternoon. Because of high demand for tickets at last year’s inaugural event, there will be two sessions this year, allowing more time for curious canines to explore the park. Sessions will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and from 1-3 p.m. Tickets are limited and are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate, if available. Owners get in free with their pets.

Dogs must be up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations to enter the event. To maximize canine fun, owners will not be allowed to swim or go more than ankle deep in the water at the event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at park concession stands to help humans cool down. While in the park and for the safety of all guests, owners are encouraged to keep their dogs close at hand and in control at all times.
